Industrial Designer | Design Thinking Expert

Paul is an international award winning product designer, alumni of the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID), Electrical Engineer and a Cartoonist who re-defines everyday objects. His designs are led by consumer focused  innovation and refined sense of style.

He has designed over 300+ iconic everyday objects in 121 product categories for clients across 14 countries. His "Design Thinking Simplified" workshops/lectures are most sought after by business leaders seeking creative methods to innovate and empower their teams with the creative spark! Paul has been invited by Appolo Munich, Infosys, Hewlett-Packard and Dell amongst many others to share his unique Design Thinking process for Innovation by Observation.

In 2004 he created the Spherical Bulb Holder  & Angular Multi-plug for GM Modular which became the most iconic best seller designs in India and have now become a standard for the entire electrical industry. Paul had also been actively involved in New Product Developments at LG Electronics, India & Seoul for nearly a decade where he led experimental, hence “First in India” kind of projects. He has successfully designed and developed products for Whirlpool, Havells, Orient, Syska, Polycab, Bluebird and many others.

Winner of Red Dot Award (twice!) and numerous international awards his work has been extensively published / exhibited internationally including the Triennale Museum in Milan, Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Red Dot Award Show in Singapore, Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong, Lite-On Awards Show in Taiwan, Design Korea Exhibition/Design Olympiad in Seoul and Alliance Francaise in Delhi.

In 2010, Paul Sandip was awarded with 100% scholarship by Domus Academy,  the home of Italian Design in Milan.

Paul has been honored by Prime Minister of India Mr.Narendra Modi as a Designpreneur in 2005 & President of Taiwan Mr.Ma Ying-jeou in 2010. In 2003 he received the guidance of Prof. Ezio Manzini, a world renowned expert on sustainable design from Italy. Paul’s work is held in permanent collections of Danish Design Museum, Copenhagen since 2009, as an example of Design to improve life!

He has designed and developed medical / diagnostic devices in association with Public Health Foundation of India. Since 2013, Paul is a Jury Member for the India Design Mark. He is also a registered industrial designer with the Government of India under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Program.

In 2014, Paul was invited as a TEDx speaker  by Hewlett Packard (HP), Bangalore and twice again in 2019 by TEDx ICEM & TEDxPune.

In 2018 Dell approached him to mentor & judge a nation wide design challange Designathon 2.0 A short motivational video was made about his Design Thinking. Paul is a mentor for Dell Designathon 3.0 as well. His work shines bright for its simplicity and original design “thinking” as cited by industry experts, which led him to be featured by ForbesLife India Jan’16 edition for Re-imagining Everyday Objects! The same year he was commissioned by K-Mart  to design lifestyle products for their 191 retail stores in Australia.

In 2017, Paul was interviewed by NDTV Prime to share his expert thoughts on Innovation in Product Design for their show Mindspace.

March 2018 dawned an opportunity to showcase his works at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. The same year Paul was selected to represent Industrial Design at the India-Italy Tech Leadership Roundtable in the august presence of His Excellency Mr. Giuseppe Conte the Prime Minister of Italy and Shri Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India.

Toy Designer | Children Product Expert

An eminent toy designer, post graduate of National Institute of Design (NID) with her specialization in Toys and Children products. Suhasini is also an Electrical engineer and has done Management Program for Women Entrepreneurs (MPWE 2016) from IIM, Bangalore.

She designs the surprise toys found inside Kinder Joy for Indian / global market, sport toys for Disney, India and break-time play things for ITC Foods.

Suhasini was approached by the creators of  the charachter Chota Bheem to build the strategies for promotional toys and merchandise. She is the brain behind many sassy board games for kids produced by FRANK and instrumental in setting up a new board games company for Brijbasi Art Press Ltd., a renowned printing press in Delhi.

She is the first toy designer in the country to have her name imprinted on the games designed by her for Indian and global clients. In 2015, SNAPDEAL, which is India’s Largest Online Shopping Portal collaborated with her as a Toy Expert.

Suhasini loves exploring new materials and has spent months in factories and bamboo/rubberwood jungles in China and Thailand understanding  safety standards while designing infant products.

She has worked extensively on rubber wood toys, new designs of which are launched every year at various Toy Fairs across the globe. Her designs of school furniture, both in rubber wood and Blow molded plastic have generated huge revenues, thus becoming best sellers.

Her success lies in taking concepts to reality by connecting the right resources with the people she works with. Thus, been able to serve quite a number of toy manufacturers, helping them accelerate their business growth. Her services as a toy designer are sought after by toy companies in India, China, Thailand, Italy, UK, USA and Germany.

She has been a Young Creative Enterprenuer Award Finalist organised by British Council. Her work has been honored  by Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi as a Designpreneur in 2005 and President of Taiwan Mr. Ma Ying-jeou in 2010.

She has been featured on the cover of INDULGE Magazine by Indian Express in 2011 and in the Best of FEMINA in 2012, apart from several other notable magazines. Suhasini has also been a speaker at TEDx HP Bangalore in 2014.

She is a visiting faculty at NID, NIFT. Jury member at NIFT Delhi. Speaker at several design events and appears on NDTV chat show, “Bringing up Baby”, to share her perspective on choosing and buying age appropriate toys for children. Also to talk about special need toys, developmental toys and toy safety.

In 2017, NDTV Prime interviewed Suhasini to share her expert opinion about Toy Design scenario in the country for their show Mindspace.

March 2018 dawned an opportunity to showcase her works at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, office of the 14th President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind. The same year her Toy Design process was documented by Dell in their video series “Design Circle – The Creative Journey”,capturing the story of designs, from idea to reality.

On 10th November 2018, her journey as a successful Toy Designer was aired by All India Radio, India’s National Broadcaster since 1930.
